Supporting RGS Guildford
RGS Guildford was founded as a ‘free schole’ in the town of Guildford in 1509, to offer education to local boys of limited means.
500 years later, this founding mission is now at the heart of the philanthropic ambition for our School. Our aim is full merit-based open access – where every boy who earns his place is able to take it up, irrespective of the financial circumstances of his family. We believe we can achieve this in a generation.
As the gap between the richest and poorest in society widens and the inequality of access to higher education grows, this aspiration has never been more important. Our fundraising endeavour is now focused on achieving this vision.
To succeed, we need the support of the RGS community – Old Guildfordians, parents and staff, past and present, and other friends in the community who recognise the value of an RGS education.
If you would like to help increase opportunity for bright local boys today, join us.
