Sir Thomas Byam Martin

Born in 1773, third son of Sir Henry Martin, Bt. He was promoted rear-admiral in 1811, and was Controller of the Navy from 1816 to 1831. Member for Plymouth between 1818 and 1831. Promoted Admiral of the Fleet in 1845 and died in 1854.
