Sir George Grey
Sir George Grey, KCB (14 April 1812 – 19 September 1898) was a soldier, explorer, Governor of South Australia, twice Governor of New Zealand, Governor of Cape Colony (South Africa), Prime Minister of New Zealand and a writer. Born in Lisbon, he died in London and was buried in St. Paul's Cathedral, where a public funeral was held. His family is now represented in the House of Lords by the Earl of Stamford.
