A Level Results 2009
A Level results day saw RGS pupils achieving the finest A Level grades in the School’s history. 146 pupils received their A Level results today and posted a combined AB rate of 97.9% (previous record – 95.3%). The percentage of pupils achieving an A grade was also a record at 82.1%.
Headmaster Dr Jon Cox expressed his pleasure at the success of his pupils. ‘I am delighted that the hard work and commitment of RGS pupils has today been so emphatically rewarded. The results achieved are a credit to our pupils and also reflect the inspirational teaching of the staff here at the RGS. It is a great pleasure to see so many of our boys achieving the A Level grades they require to enable them to attend the universities of their choice, particularly at a time when the competition for university places has never been higher. I would like to thank everyone involved in posting such fantastic results today.’
